ONLINE EVENTS: SURF THE DIGITAL WAVE, THE FIRST VIRTUAL PRODUCT SHOW OF THE BMW GROUP.
Online Events: A division of the BMW Group wants to welcome its employees to a week-long, completely virtual 3D exhibition world in order to actively promote the digital transformation within the company.
The biggest challenge is the tight timeline. Just a few weeks after the order was placed, Rabl & Hahn implemented an unprecedented, digital 3D venue to inform BMW Group employees on the intranet with digital exhibition stands, over 40 speeches and video clips.
CHALLENGE
In the age of digital change, the current digital landscapes of global companies often reach their limits. In our private lives, each of us has gotten used to the land of plenty of up-to-dateness, availability and user-friendliness of today's applications - no wonder, because we spend around 8 hours of our free time per day online.
In a fully connected world, a digital workplace that combines work steps, processes, tools and data, and enables cross-collaboration is probably the most important aspect.
A highly complex challenge:
On the one hand, to design the historically grown IT landscapes accordingly and, on the other hand, to offer information platforms that can be experienced - all of this taking into account the respective corporate culture. No matter how big a company is, employees always want to be informed about the change and be involved in the process.
ASSIGNMENT
The aim of the Product Show is the communication and the development of effective and practicable instruments that are meant to help employees to carry out their work even more efficiently, target-oriented and target group-oriented.
The department has started numerous projects to this end, which are to be presented as part of the virtual “Product Show 2021”. Each day of the event is dedicated to one of the 4 pillars of digitization: collaboration, digital skills, data analysis and process efficiency. On the last day of the event, users will pitch their ideas for new digitization projects.
Rabl & Hahn won the BMW Group's tender for this project. Their expertise in the conception of digital events, communication and simplification of complex content, coaching of speakers and the design of virtual 3D venues as well as support in event communication were the key arguments.

Concept, storyboard, filming and editing of various film elements for the event: teaser video, welcome video in the venue, get-started video, connected procurement video (YouTube Videolink German).
CONTENT FRAMEWORK
Creation of an agenda and profiles for the individual events.
